Herbal medicines are mixtures of organic chemicals extracted from raw (plant's seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers) or processed plant parts. Herbal medicine has its roots in every culture around the world which consist many different systems of Alternative medicine, philosophy and practices of each environment and geographic location, but these systems all agree on a holistic approach to life.  Herbs contain many ingredients that are used to treat diseases. Herbal medicine is also called as botanical medicine. Biological properties of these plants have beneficial effects. Other factors which are responsible for their benefits as well as such type of environment in which the plant grew and the way in which it was harvested and how it was processed. Plant is either solid raw or as extracts, where it’s macerated with water, alcohol or other solvents to extract some of the chemicals. The resulting products contain dozens of chemicals, including fatty acids, sterols, alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, sapiens etc. Herbal products are recommended as safe unlike other medications due to natural sources and no added chemicals.


Alternative Medicine

Alternative medicine comprises practices that are claimed to provide relief from disease but which may be harmful in relation to their effect. Alternative Medicine is believed by the scientific community that this therapy may not work because the known laws of nature are violated by its basic claims. Alternative therapies or diagnoses are not part of medicine or science-based healthcare systems.
